Samui Regatta 2018
Turning 17 this year, Samui Regatta has grown to attract the best yachts in Asia and a large spectator following who come to Samui for great sailing, excellent beach parties and to experience the island’s acclaimed hospitality.
The 17th Samui Regatta will take place 25th May to 2nd June 2018 headquartered at Centara Grand Beach Resort Samui and is the season-ending event in the AsianYachting Grand Prix championship.
The Regatta is organised by Regattas Asia in conjunction with the Samui Yacht Club Regatta, under the auspices of the Province of Surat Thani, the Sports Authority of Thailand, the Municipal of Koh Samui, the Tourism Association of Koh Samui, The Tourism Association of Thailand, the International Sailing Federation and the Yacht Racing Association of Thailand.
Samui Regatta 2018 consists of five days of racing and six nights of parties, including daily prize-givings on the beach and a lavish Gala Dinner hosted by Centara Grand Beach Resort Samui on the final night. The spectator boat costs 800THB/person/day and tickets are available for the daily prize-givings at 1,000THB/person/night and for the Gala Dinner at 2,5000THB/person.

The official Opening and Dinghy Fleet Prize Awards
One of the most popular Samui Regatta events, the opening party is at Centara Grand Beach Resort. Great Snacks, free-flowing drinks, and first-class entertainment kick off the week to a great start.
The Regatta Beach Tavern
Situated in front of Centara Grand Beach Resort &, the Regatta Tavern is open from 5.00 pm to 7.00 pm Monday through Saturday (closed Lay day), this is the place to get the first sight of the day’s results and our daily presentations. This year it features the Race Day Happy Hour, from 5.00 pm – 7.00pm (Race days only), with an open bar offering Mount Gay Rum, Chang Classic beer, Mekong Thai Spirit and Samui Regatta Signature cocktails backed up by & 100 Plus Isotonics beverages, Tonic/Coke and a range of canapes.
The Gala Dinner and Awards Ceremony
Samui was the first regatta in Thailand to stage a full sit-down dinner for 500 guests. Situated in the grounds of Centara Grand Beach Resort. Known for its superb buffet dinner, live music, shorter speeches, and final awards all hosted by a guest MC.
This is an exclusive event, not to be missed. Entry is included in the crew fees. A limited number of guest tickets may be purchased, with priority given to participants and their partners.
